Course Overview

This equality and diversity training aims to strengthen your employees’ knowledge of best practice regarding issues of equality and diversity, as well as providing key information to make them more socially aware. Subjects that are covered in the course include personal and social identities, beliefs, values, stereotyping and labelling, prejudice and discrimination.

In England, you will gain an accredited Level 2 qualification.

In Scotland, this course is comparable to a Level 5 based on the Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework. Upon completion of the course, learners in Scotland will receive a digital e-certificate issued by your college.

    Unit 1: Equality and diversity in society

    In this unit, your employees will understand what exactly is meant by the term ‘equality’ and explore the damaging effects of stereotyping and labelling.

    Unit 2: Equality and diversity in the community

    This unit will assist your employees in identifying the extent of diversity that exists within a community and understanding the great benefits of promoting a culture of equality and diversity.

    Unit 3: Equality and diversity in the workplace

    This unit covers how equality and diversity can be promoted and maintained by employees, and will highlight the benefits of a dynamic, diverse workforce.

    Employees will receive subject specialist support from a Tutor and access to a Learner Support Advisor for everyday queries.
